EQUIOXX (firocoxib) is approved to control pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease) in horses.
The most common side effects associated with EQUIOXX (firocoxib) therapy involve the tongue, lips and skin of the mouth and face (erosions and ulcers of the mucosa and skin) and the kidney. Gastrointestinal, kidney and liver problems have also been reported with other NSAIDs.

Horses should undergo a thorough history and physical examination before initiation of NSAID therapy. Appropriate laboratory tests should be conducted to establish hematological and serum biochemical baseline data before and periodically during administration of any NSAID. Treatment with EQUIOXX (firocoxib) should be terminated if signs such as inappetance, colic, abnormal feces, or lethargy are observed. See package insert for full information.

The recommended dosage of EQUIOXX Tablets is one 57 mg tablet, for oral administration in horses weighing 800-1300 lbs, once daily for up to 14 days. The overall duration of treatment EQUIOXX Tablets will be dependent on the response observed, but should not exceed 14 days. EQUIOXX may be given with or without food. Excel Enteric Coated Aspirin provides temporary pain relief, making this an ideal medication for dogs with arthritis and related joint problems. This aspirin also helps to reduce inflammation and joint stiffness. Excel Enteric Coated Aspirin is not for use in cats.
Adequan Canine (for dogs) is used to control symptoms associated with degenerative or traumatic arthritis. Adequan requires a prescription from your veterinarian. A syringe is needed, but not included in the package. Please see 3cc (3ml) luer slip syringe with 3/4" 25 g Needle.
Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) prescription medication used to reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness as a result of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis. Meloxicam requires a prescription from your veterinarian, and is sold per tablet.
Onsior for Cats is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves pain and reduces inflammation associated with orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. The small, yeast-flavored tablets are favored by cats and are easy to administer. Onsior is available in a 6mg 3-pack blister packet. Onsior requires a prescription from your veterinarian.
Azathioprine is a prescription medication used in dogs and cats for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Azathioprine is not FDA approved for use in veterinary medicine; however, it is a commonly accepted practice for veterinarians to prescribe this medication for dogs and cats. Azathioprine requires a prescription from your veterinarian, and is sold per tablet.
Novox is a generic equivalent for Rimadyl (carprofen) caplets. It's a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) used to treat pain and inflammation due to arthritis and other joint diseases, including hip dysplasia. It's also used to reduce fever. Novox requires a prescription from your veterinarian.
Deramaxx is used in dogs to control pain and inflammation. Its particularly effective against osteoarthritis, a degenerative disease that affects your dogs joints. It is available as beef-flavored, scored, chewable tablets. Deramaxx requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

The 3cc (3ml) Luer-Slip syringe with 3/4" 22 g Needle is a syringe that works with Adequan, which controls the symptoms of arthritis, or Percorten-V, which controls Addison's Disease. The syringe comes with a needle and allows up to 3 cc (3 ml) of medication for your pet.
Galliprant (Grapiprant) Flavored Tablets are for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs.
Carprovet Flavored Tablets (compares to Rimadyl) are used for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs.
