What is Heartgard Plus Chewables?
Heartgard Plus kills heartworm larvae, preventing them from developing into adult heartworms. Heartgard Plus treats and controls 3 species of hookworms and 2 species of roundworms. It kills heartworms in the larvae stage and prevents possible serious damage to your dog. Comes in a delicious real-beef chew that dogs love. Available by prescription from a veterinarian—annual testing for heartworm disease is recommended

What happens if I miss giving a dose:
Give the missed dose as soon as possible. Do not give a double dose of the medication.

Heartgard Plus is well tolerated. All dogs should be tested for heartworm infection before starting a preventive program. Following the use of Heartgard Plus, digestive and neurological side effects have rarely been reported. For more information, contact your veterinarian.

Store this product at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
Directions:
Give Heartgard Plus as directed by the veterinarian. Heartgard Plus chewable tablets must be chewed. They should not be swallowed whole. You can break the chewable tablet and even crumble it on your dog's food. Do not remove chewable from its wrapper until ready to give to pet.
